GAME: Easter bunny hunt.

GAME: Bunny´s tail. Cover your eyes and place the bunny´s tail in the right place.

HOT POTATO

GAME: Divide the group in two teams. Make two lines and kids must lie down facing up. In one end, there is a dad who will put a small ball on the kid´s feet. That kid must pass the ball using his feet to the kid lied down behind him/her. On the other end, there is another dad waiting to get the ball and place it on a box. The team with more balls is the winner.

Introduction

  1. Ask students to write their name on the board as they arrive to class.
    • At the beginning of the class, teacher will ask: “Who is number one?”. Student number one will have to answer: “I am number one!”. Repeat with every number.
  2. Hello everyone! Routines (ball): name, age, day, date, weather, how are you?
  3. Jobs: Remind students to pick a number from the box and put their name tag on the corresponding job.
  4. Our calendar: Day, month, season, weather.
  5. Behaviour chart: Remind students that one of them will win a start by the end of the class for making good choices (rules poster). They will also pick a game from the Games jar and wear The Star Student Crown.

  1. Drawing – Ask students to draw something similar in their notebook, but with their own things.
    • Draw something for This, That, These and Those.
    • Then, write sentences bellow: This is my dog; That is my tablet; These are my toys; Those are my shoes.
    • They must draw one single thing for This and That, and more than one for These and Those.
    • Make sure that spelling is correct, and the arrows are short for This and These, but long for That and Those.

Wrap up

Teacher gives out the star of the day and the crown.

If time allows, the Star Student shakes the Games jar and picks a game without looking. Let’s play!

This S will have to shout another word from the vocabulary list or come up with a new one, and so on… If they repeat a word that has already been said or can’t think of a new one, they are out.
